DERBY ACADEMY OF ACTING

CLASSES IN CONTEMPORARY AND TRADITIONAL ACTING STYLES AND TECHNIQUES.

Advanced acting classes for young people and adults who are keen to pursue an acting career or achieve their acting potential.

Classes provide quality training in acting, including healthy and effective voice use, movement and improvisation, tuition in analysing texts and bringing a piece of work to performance.

More than just fun, the classes develop confidence and an understanding of the skills necessary to entering the profession, developing talents and abilities. 

There are additional opportunities for students to spread their knowledge of the arts generally and gain qualifications through the Arts Award scheme. Neale an Arts Award advisor will hold classes for Bronze, Silver and Gold awards at the Academy. 

Students can also be entered for LAMDA examinations which are taught by Neale on a one to one basis.

In school workshops: Neale provides practical workshops (text based curriculum centered) and INSET days in Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire areas. Specialist skills include introducing students to Shakespeare.
